University of Hong Kong

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is Hong Kong’s first and foremost university, with a history of nearly 100 years and was ranked 18th amongst the world’s top universities by The Times Higher EducationSupplement (2007).  The alumni are the “who’s who” leaders of the region in business, education and government, including 11 of 15 Secretaries of the HKSAR Government.

HKU’s Faculty of Business and Economics offers a full range of six Masters programmes, including full- and part-time MBA, International MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Economics, and Master of Finance, plus PhD degree and non-degree open enrollment and customized Execution Education Programmes.  The Faculty’s Business School provides executive education programmes for senior executives, namely the EMBA-Global Asia, Global Partnership Executive Programmes with top-ranked universities, and corporate training programmes.

Remaining true to the spirit of entrepreneurship, the Faculty aims to become the leading international centre for the study of economics and business in Asia and to serve the development needs of Hong Kong as an international financial centre and the future needs of Greater China.

University of Cambridge

Judge Business School is University of Cambridge’s business school.  It was created in 1990 to act as a focus for management teaching and research in the University, which, from the early 1950s, had been carried out mainly in the Faculties of Engineering and Economics.  In 1991 generous benefactions from Sir Paul and Anne Judge and the Monument Trust provided the funds for the refurbishment and extension of the old Addenbrookes Hospital on Trumpington Street, first established on this site in 1766, to provide a building for the newly formed Institute of Management Studies (now Judge Business School).  This was completed in August 1995.  It has grown quickly and now attracts a multi-national community of students and faculty.  Alongside Executive Education, it offers graduate programmes leading to the MBA, MPhil and PhD degrees, and a final year programme for undergraduates in Management Studies.  Faculty also contribute substantially to the Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering degrees.

Judge Business School is a world-ranking centre of research and provides international leadership in key areas of management studies.  The research output of its faculty combines the highest academic standards with relevance to the needs of businesses and policymakers.  The key objectives of the School are to challenge conventional wisdom and advance knowledge with innovative thinking and to provide world-class teaching in an interactive manner to the leaders of tomorrow.
