The Faculty of Business and Economics celebrated its AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programmes with a reception on May 14. The event was well attended by prominent business leaders, Faculty Board of Directors, Advisory Board Members, staff and teachers as well as alumni and students.
Mr. Thomas Kwok, Chairman of the Faculty's Board of Directors, who had jointly hosted the reception, said, “The constant achievements in accreditations of high standing associations and student competitions speak eloquent testimony to the Faculty's excellence in teaching and learning quality. It is also a commitment and promise of on-going reviews and improvements. I am pleased to see that the Faculty gets the accreditation for both its business and accounting programmes – well done!”
Acting Dean, Prof. Eric Chang, commented: “AACSB is the hallmark of excellence in business education and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business schools, which translates to about 593 schools in 37 countries. The Faculty is proud to attain the award for both business and accounting, an endeavor achieved by only 173 business schools worldwide. The attainment of top standard accreditation not only serves as acknowledgement of our teaching and learning excellence, but also as a statement of commitment to on-going improvement.”
