Programme Mission
The Faculty of Business and Economics offers a research postgraduate program leading to the degrees of Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The research postgraduate program of the Faculty is committed to developing outstanding managers, professors and consultants, who will contribute creatively and substantively to meet challenges faced by the academic world and different industries into the twenty-first century. The Faculty aims to admit high quality students in order to generate top quality business and economics research.
Research postgraduate students in the Faculty of Business and Economics play an integral part in faculty research and gain experience in designing, implementing and evaluating major research efforts. Many of them are involved in reporting results in scholarly publications and at academic conventions. All students are provided with funding to attend academic conferences abroad.
The program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching, research, consulting and management.
