The HKU MBA programme provides a platform that connects our current students with the business community through a range of student clubs that complement the regular curriculum. Club activities are a vital part of the HKU MBA experience, and enable students to network with programme alumni, explore personal interests, and develop valuable leadership and organisational skills. Currently, we have 4 clubs:
The various club activities bring business professionals from different industries to the campus to offer stories of their success and discuss the latest developments in their fields. The topics of previous talks include mergers and acquisitions, financial turmoil management, operation management in China and a global marketing overview. These talks were delivered by representatives of such prestigious firms as Alibaba, Santander Bank, ING Asset Management, BNP Paribas and Bloomberg, who visited the campus on the invitation of one of our clubs. Students benefit enormously from hearing about successful career experiences in today’s globalised environment. Visits from members of local and international business organisations also equip students with essential skills and information. Last year’s visits included representatives of Li & Fung, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Goldman Sachs and Bloomberg TV, amongst others.
