Biography
Graduated with a PhD in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business (formerly Western Business School), The University of Western Ontario, Canada, I returned to Hong Kong and joined the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as an Assistant Professor of Information and Systems Management in 1992. I was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in July 1998.  Between October 1996 and April 1999, I was Associate Dean and Director of Undergraduate Programs of the School of Business & Management.  

I moved to the School of Business, The University of Hong Kong  (HKU) in May 1999. From July 2001 to June 2005, I was Associate Dean and BBA Program Director.  Currently at HKU, I am a   Professor in the area of Information Systems.

In March 2007, I was appointed as a Visiting Professor of Dalian University of Technology,  In Fall 2007, I spent September and October at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.  In 2008, I spent my Summer at the School of Accounting and Information Systems of Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. In November 2009, I spent a month at the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, Hubei, China.
