CASEBV

The Centre for Asian Entrepreneurship and Business Values (CASEBV) is set up in 2005 by The University of Hong Kong to promote the teaching of intellectual capital development in entrepreneurship and business values in Hong Kong, China, and the Asia-Pacific region. We are developing publications, MBA and executive courses, resource materials, and Asian business cases. We expect to launch a full website shortly.

Biography:
Dr. Zheng is currently working as an Associate Professor in Management and Strategy, Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He earned his Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin Madison in 2006, majored in management and minored in economics.His research interests primarily revolve around the nexus of strategic management and entrepreneurship. His work has been published at leading management and entrepreneurship journals such as AMJ, SMJ, JBV, JMS, ICC, and SEJ. He also serves the editorial board of AMJ, the most prestigious academic journal in management field. He was the recipient of the Irene M. McCarthy Award for the best paper on the topic of High Technology and Innovation at the Babson International Entrepreneurship Conference.

Complex International Transactions, Refugee Law, particularly in the Asian context, International Health Law

Biography:
Mr. Bishop has broad and substantial experience in Asian and U.S. transactional legal practice. He has worked on major financing, real estate, private equity and M&A matters in the U.S. and throughout Asia, and participated in numerous bilingual negotiations in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. His rich international background and experience enables him to provide useful insights on Asian legal environments and systemic barriers to doing business in China. Mr. Bishop adopts an international and multicultural approach to teaching and focuses on practical and strategic aspects of law.

Short Description:
Dr. Zheng is working on a research project investigating why venture capital firms in China terminate their investments. The projects is sponsored by a General Research Fund (GRF) grant from the Research Grants Council (RGC) of HKSAR.
