This seminar will cover how the propensity score matching method and difference-in-differences approach allow us to identify dynamic learning effects in the strategy and performance relationship. These two methodologies used in tandem create a quasi-experimental setting that controls for endogeneity and isolates the causal relationship between strategy and firm performance, capturing dynamic learning effects more precisely in the process. This seminar will provide a step-by-step process of how to apply these methodologies to students’ own research.
