“An AI View of Bargining Theory” by Dongmo ZHANG

This talk reexamines the game-theoretic bargaining theory from logic and Artificial Intelligence (AI) perspectives. We investigate the mechanism of logical reasoning behind human bargaining. We consider bargaining to be a special form of belief revision. By representing bargaining problems in propositional logic we propose a logical solution to n-person bargaining problems. We show that the solution is uniquely characterized by four logical axioms and three game-theoretic axioms. This framework would help us to identify the logical reasoning behind bargaining processes and would provide a new method for bargaining analysis.
