Abstract:
In this talk, a personal view of big data, in connection to statistics, business and healthcare will be discussed. Some issues related to design, data collection, computing and analysis will be investigated in the talk as well. Specific challenges and issues in healthcare analytics will be a focus on this presentation. We will use electronic medical record (EMR) and healthcare utilization and cost project (HCUP) as examples to illustrate some key points in the talk.
