Professional Seminar: An introduction to Syndicated Loans Market
We are delighted to have Dr Kate Kwan, Executive Director of J.P. Morgan to give us a professional seminar on “An introduction to Syndicated Loans Market”.
Dr Kate Kwan is an executive director of J.P. Morgan. She spearheads the secondary loan sales for the investment bank since 2011 covering Asia Pacific region (including Australia and Japan), ranging from par, performing loans to high yield, distressed loan sales.
Kate has over 20 years of Asian loan syndicate and sales experience, including distributing loan transactions on primary, secondary and private placement basis. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, she worked for Citigroup, and previously HSBC and SG Asia. She represented Citigroup and J.P. Morgan on the Board of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) in 2009-11; 2012-13 and is currently the Chairman of the Secondary Loans Committee since 2013, and the Founding Chairman of Women’s Committee of APLMA from 2009-13. She was the Nominations Co-Chair of the Women's Interactive Network (WIN) Global (2013-15) and is the Co-Chair of WIN HK of J.P. Morgan (2015-now).
Kate was a Visiting Professor of Shanghai Fudan University in 2013 and is a Visiting Scholar of Southwestern University from 2014. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from UCLA, PhD Honoris Causa from Fudan University, DBA from Newcastle University, Master of Finance from HKU and is a US qualified CPA, CGMA, and FRM. She is the Founding President of the CUHK BBA Alumni Association, and the Honorary President & Founding Vice-Chair of HKU Economics & Finance Postgraduates Association (HKUEFPA), and Chairperson of HKUEFPA from 2010-11, 2012-13.
