Public Lecture by Porsche Designer Pinky Lai
About the lecture: Mr. Pinky Lai is the first Chinese ever to become a car designer. Graduated in Industrial Design (BA) with honors at the Instituto Superiore del’Industrie Artistiche in Rome, his talent won him numerous awards including German Design Award and Autonis (Berlin). Mr. Lai is also a five-time winner of Italy’s L'Automobile Piu Bella Del Mondo (The World's Most Beautiful Automobiles). His design portfolio includes Porsche 991 (996) of complete model-line (Coupé, Cabrio, Targa, Turbo), Porsche Cayman and Porsche 987 Boxster. In the lecture, Mr. Lai will share with us the story of how an average teen from Quarry Bay of the 60s ended up designing Porsches for the past 26 years.
