Offers will be made on a rolling basis and early applications are preferred in the sense that a large proportion of offers will be allocated to applications in early rounds. Candidates are therefore highly recommended to submit their applications and supporting documents as soon as possible. Admission decisions are generally available in seven to eight weeks after the interim application deadline and successful candidates will be notified by email. For those who do not receive offers from the MFin Programme Office, their files will be considered again in the following round(s) till the end of the whole admission exercise.
Candidates may be invited to write a written test and/or to attend an interview. Class commences in late August.
We welcome overseas applicants. Candidates who wish to be admitted based on a qualification from a university outside Hong Kong, where the language of teaching is not English, are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL*). The International English Language Testing System (IELTS*) is also accepted as an equivalent standard. Upon successful application, overseas students will need to arrange their own student visas.
International students are highly encouraged to apply in the first two rounds to allow sufficient time to arrange student visas and to prepare to move to Hong Kong.
The proposed tuition fee for the 2019-2020 intake is HK$396,000*. The fee shall be payable in 3 instalments over one year, irrespective of the number of courses taken in each module.
Subject to the approval of the MFin Programme Director and committees concerned, advanced standing of required courses, except the capstone course, may be granted and the tuition fees would be deducted by HK$33,000* per course accordingly. There is also a non-refundable application fee of HK$300.
*Note: The fees are subject to the final approval of the University.
