The lecture:

Economics provides perceptive and revealing ways of understanding the world. Its insights are not limited to economic affairs but also other aspects of human behavior. This lecture shows how the study of economics can enhance our comphrehension of the essentials in an increasingly complicated world. It is intended for all students.

The speaker:

Professor Wong received his A.B., A.M. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. He joined the University of Hong Kong in 1992, served as Director of the School of Business from 1997 to 2001 and Founding Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics from 2001 to 2004. He was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor in September 2004. Professor Wong's main research interests include economic policy analysis and regional economic development.
